Dr. Joe McCalister, Director of the Student Learning Center
Dr. McCalister is a retired administrator from the Dallas Independent School District. He received his Doctorate from
. He came to Texas College in August 2007. He has fourty years of leadership experience and also teaches the First Year Seminar.
Dr. Winston Sutherland, Coordinator of First Year Seminar
Dr. Sutherland recieved his Doctorate in Higer Education from the University of North Texas. He coordinates the
First Year Seminar and brings a wealth of experience with him.
Mrs. Charlotte Thompson, Coordinator of First Year Academic Advising
Mrs. Thompson recieved her Bachelor's and Master's degree from the University of Texas at Tyler in Education. As the
first year advisor coordinator Mrs. Thompson ensures that each first and second year student has the best possible college
experience.
